International Festival of Canoes

Fri., May 13–Sun., May 29. Carving begins on Sat., May 14, 9 a.m. at Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina. Enjoy demonstrations of old-style surfboard and drum making, cultural arts lessons and a Polynesian crafts fair held in Banyan Tree Park (May 19– 27), as the canoes are being hand-carved.
